Katelyn Friendship has called the Yukon home for 10 years and has a wide variety of experiences related to work in the non-profit sector and with self-governing First Nations. Much of Katelyn’s work is driven by her passion for health, the environment and social justice. Katelyn strives to take an interdisciplinary and participatory approach in working with communities and others on issues of importance to them. Katelyn has been involved in a multitude of research projects across the North, with the majority related to food security and climate change and involving the collaboration of western scientific knowledge and Indigenous traditional knowledge. Her work experience also includes organizational duties both in administration, management and research. She provides administrative support and is a minute-taker for First Nation governments and Councils. Katelyn loves to travel, wander the incredible landscape of the Yukon, garden, and pick berries with family and friends.
